Description:
Vitamin E nicotinate is an ester of vitamin E and niacin (vitamin B3). Vitamin E Nicotinate can relax peripheral blood vessels, increase blood flow, reduce capillary permeability, and inhibit the synthesis of cholesterol. Large doses can lower serum cholesterol and diacylglycerol concentrations. 50% to 80% Vitamin E Nicotinate is absorbed in the intestines. Absorption requires the presence of bile salts and dietary fat, as well as normal pancreatic function. It binds to 13-lipoproteins in the blood and is stored in whole body tissues, especially in adipose tissue. The storage capacity is available for 4 years. After metabolism in the liver, excretion is done through the bile and kidney. Niacin is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. In the therapeutic amount of niacin, only a small amount of the original form and metabolites are excreted from the urine. When the dosage exceeds the need, most of it is excreted through the kidney. In food, tryptophan is converted to niacin by intestinal bacteria, and niacin has peripheral vasodilating effects.
